KTVR Group Hospital’s Diab-at-ease Clinik conducts
Diabetes Essay-Writing Contest 2010

We are glad to inform you that KTVR Group Hospital completes its two decades of service in June 2010. On this occasion, our Diab-at-ease Clinik is organizing Diabetes Essay-writing Contest 2010 on Sunday the June 13, 2010 between 10 am and 12 noon at KTVR Knowledge Park for Engineering and Technology, Maddhampalayam, Mettupalayam Road, Coimbatore - 641 019.

Dr. J. Vijay Venkatraman, MBBS, F. Diab., Consultant Diabetologist, Diab-at-ease Clinik and Organising Secretary said: the objective of conducting Diabetes Essay-writing Contest 2010 for students is to educate and to create awareness about Diabetes and its complications among the younger generation. The incidence of diabetes is increasing at an alarming rate in India. This is mainly due to lack of awareness about the need for regular check ups.

Dr. J. Vijay Venkatraman also said the title of the contest will be "Diabetes – Why it is important?" Cash awards of Rs.10,000/-, Rs.7,500/- and Rs.5,000/- have been announced for the first three prizes. The participants can get the entry forms for the contest and return the filled forms to The Organising Secretary, Diabetes Essay-writing Contest 2010, KTVR Group Hospital, Narayana Guru Road, Saibaba Colony, Coimbatore – 641 011.

Candidates aged 14 to 18 years can participate in the contest. The essay should be within 1000 words. Free transportation facility has been arranged from KTVR Group Hospital to the venue. The filled entry forms should reach us by post or in person on or before June 12, 2010 (6 PM).
